MAYANGAN- Outbreak Response Immunization (ORI) difteri kali ini memasuki tahap tiga. Untuk mensukseskan gerakan ini, Dinas Kesehatan Kota Probolinggo melalui Puskesmas menggelar imunisasi serentak selama bulan November, di posyandu-posyandu seluruh Kota Probolinggo. Salah satu posyandu yang menggelar imunasi ini adalah Posyandu Mawar Putih, RW VI Kelurahan Mangunharjo, Rabu (14/11).

Plt.

(abdurhamzah/humas)

Three Times for Diphtheria ORI

Outbreak Response Immunization (ORI) for diphtheria this time was stage three. To make this movement a success, Health Agency of Probolinggo City through Puskesmas (Community Health Center) held simultaneous immunizations during November, at posyandu (integrated health service post) throughout the Probolinggo City. One of the posyandu that held this immunization was Posyandu Mawar Putih, RW VI, Mangunharjo Village, Wednesday (11/14).

Acting head of Puskesmas Jati, Endah Ayu Lestari, revealed that in her area, there were around 8,600 people received diphtheria immunity. Meanwhile, the number of children under five (balita) who were targeted by Posyandu Mawar Putih was 70 targets.

“Puskesmas Jati covers Jati Village, Mangunharjo Village, and Wiroborang Village. There are around 8,600 people that must receive diphtheria immunization. We anticipate the Mangunharjo area specifically because we have a port there. Diphtheria sufferers are not from our area, but are from outside Probolinggo City, they enter Probolinggo through the Port, and seek some treatment at the RSUD. Dr. Moh. Saleh, “said Endah.

“In stage one which was implemented in February, the achievement of Jati Puskesmas was 98 percent. While the second stage diphtheria ORI only reached 95 percent. This decrease was due to the issue related to pork content in diphtheria vaccine. Even MUI has confirmed that immunization vaccines are permissible, “Endah concluded.

The head of the Probolinggo City Health Agency, Ninik Ira Wibawati, revealed that the average diphtheria ORI in Probolinggo city is above 90 percent. “The implementation of the first round reached 93.33 percent. While in second round, it reached 90.07 percent. “This decline is related to some news on the halal vaccines that are indeed troubling,” said Ninik.

“With a target of at least 90 percent, from the actual target of 69,671 children, 62,753 children are immunized. The first and second ORI are as an effort to control diphtheria outbreaks. “The third round will be held until December 2018. Diphtheria ORI should be three times to form the body’s immunity from the corrynebacterium dipheriae bacteria,” concluded Ninik. (unofficial translation/hariyanti)
