KANIGARAN–Ada pemandangan berbeda di Mako Dinas Satpol PP Kota Probolinggo, Senin (4/3). Sejumlah bocah-bocah nampak asyik belajar di mako Satpol PP.

Ya, pagi itu, Mako Satpol PP memang dikunjungi siswa TK ABA II Kecamatan Mayangan. Mereka ingin tahu langsung bagaimana tugas pemadam kebakaran.

Seperti baju tahan api, baju tahan panas, sepatu, topi, sarung tangan, masker, APAR (Alat Pemadam Api Ringan), sekaligus simulasi penyiraman menggunakan selang mobil damkar.

Saya ingin menumbuhkan semacam sense of belonging (rasa memiliki) kepada anak-anak,” kata Wawali HMS Subri.

(famydecta/humas)

There was a different scene at the headquarters of Probolinggo City Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), Monday (4/3). A number of children seemed excited about learning at the headquarters.

That morning, the headquarters was indeed visited by ABA II Kindergarten students. They want to know how the fire department is doing. Based on the nomenclature set two years ago, the Fire Department has been joining the Public Order Agency.

In the midst of his busy life, the Mayor of Probolinggo HMS Subri took the time to welcome the 30 students.

The head of ABA II Kindergarten, Siti Soriyah explained, the arrival of her students was being the top theme activity and the current professional theme is a firefighter (damkar). “The highlight of this theme is introducing children to what kind of assignments done by the firefighter. We thank the municipality (Probolinggo) for accepting the arrival of children,” she said.

At the headquarters, children get information about firefighting equipment including fire-resistant clothing, heat resistant clothes, shoes, hats, gloves, masks, APAR (Light Fire Extinguisher), as well as watering simulations using the hose firefighting cars.

“I personally consider this activity important. In an early age, children are introduced to activities that can become their basis later. I want to foster a sense of belonging to children,” said Vice Mayor HMS Subri.

Internal Action Officer (PTI) of the department Sukirno stated, by giving an explanation to the children, it is expected that they would know what the firefighter duty is like. “We hope that children know what the dangers of fire are and they don’t play fire and electric toys carelessly,” he said.

The municipality currently has two units of ready-made firefighting cars in all conditions. One car has a capacity of 10,000 liters of water, and the other is 2000 liters. For the fighters, there were 16 officers divided into 4 teams.

The excitement occurred when the fire watering simulation by children was assisted by the firefighters. “As adults, we have to care about children development because they can’t help but replace us in everything later. From this activity, the children will be embedded with a picture of how firefighters are doing,” said Subri who was so enthusiastic to see the behavior of the kindergarten children.
