Rencana Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru Disosialisasikan

Kanigaran-Wali Kota Probolinggo Habib Hadi Zainal Abidin, benar-benar serius menangani program pengembangan karir dan peningkatan kompetensi guru. Setelah pada minggu malam (10/3) di Bromo Park Hotel dan Restaurant Kota Probolinggo menandatangani kesepakatan dengan Universitas Terbuka (UT) Jember,  siang ini Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo bersama UT Jember mensosialisasikan rencana tersebut kepada para guru.

Melalui Dinas Pendidikan, Pemuda dan Olah Raga (Disdikpora), Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo  mengundang sekitar 252 orang guru untuk mengikuti sosialisasi tentang program pengembangan karir dan peningkatan kompetensi guru di lingkungan Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo. Dari 252 orang guru yang hadir, 135 orang merupakan guru PAUD, 71 orang guru SD/SMP Negeri, serta 46 orang guru SD/SMP Swasta.

Menurut Kepala Disdikpora Moch. Maskur kegiatan ini dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan karir dan kompetensi guru dalam memahami standar proses. Selain itu, juga untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan karir guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran di sekolah, serta meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam melakukan inovasi pembelajaran di sekolah.

“Perlu diketahui bersama, bahwa guru PNS yang belum menempuh S1 sebanyak 71 orang terdiri dari PAUD/TK 8 orang, SD 51 orang dan SMP 12 orang. Sedangkan guru swasta yang juga belum menempuh S1 sebanyak 179 orang. Terdiri dari guru PAUD 134 orang, SD 26 orang, dan SMP 19 orang. Semoga dalam kegiatan ini nantinya, akan ada peluang/kesempatan serta keinginan para guru untuk bisa menempuh S1 dan sudah linier,” pungkasnya.

Harapan itu pula terlontar dari Habib Hadi. Ia berharap ada peningkatan kualitas guru melalui pengembangan kompetensi dan kualifikasi akademisi guru. Agar kualitas pendidikan yang ada di Kota Probolinggo dapat meningkat.

“Tentunya, komitmen Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo khususnya di dunia pendidikan menjadi konsentrasi kita semua. Bukan hanya Pemerintah yang terus berupaya memberikan pelayanan pendidikan gratis, namun mutu dan kualitas pendidiknya juga harus kita tingkatkan. Semoga Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo yang sudah bekerjasama dengan UT Jember ini bisa dimanfaatkan sebaik-baiknya”, tegas Habib Hadi.

Pada kesempatan itu, Direktur UT Jember Muhammad Imam Farisi dihadirkan di tengah-tengah undangan untuk menjadi narasumber. Memberikan beberapa materi dan pengetahuan pada guru-guru tersebut. (Malinda/Humas)

Probolinggo Mayor, Habib Hadi Zainal Abidin, is quite serious in dealing with program of teacher’s career and competence development. After on Sunday evening (10/3), located at Bromo Park Hotel and Restaurant, Probolinggo city has signed an agreement with Open University Jember, on this afternoon, the city along with the university held dissemination relating to the plan to the teachers.

The Agency of Education, Youth, and Sport (Disdikpora) of the city has invited 252 teachers to participate in the dissemination on the program of teacher’s career and competence development. Of 252 teachers, 135 of them are teachers of Early Education (PAUD), 71 teachers of state elementary and junior high school, and 46 teachers of private elementary and junior high school.

The head of Disdikpora, Moch Maskur, said that the event was meant to develop the career and competence of the teachers in understanding the standard of process. Besides, it was also to improve their knowledge and career in implementing the learning process at the schools as well as improving their skills in making innovations.

“For your information, the civil-servant teachers who got no bachelor degree are counted as 71 people, consisting of 8 teachers from PAUD (early childhood education), 51 from elementary-school teachers, and 12 teachers working at junior high school. Meanwhile, from the private schools, there are 179 teachers who got no bachelor degree yet, consisting of 134 teachers of PAUD, 26 teachers of the elementary school, and 19 others from junior high school. Hopefully, the event would give an opportunity for them to encourage themselves to have a higher education,” he said.

The same expectation was delivered by Mayor Habib Hadi. He hopes there will be an increase in teacher’s quality through the development of competence and qualification of teacher academic to get a better quality of education in the city.

“Certainly, the commitment of Probolinggo Municipality, especially in education will be the main concern of all of us. Not only the government makes an effort in giving free education service, but it also improves the quality of the teachers. Hopefully, the cooperation made between the municipality and the university can be well utilized,” Habib Hadi affirmed.

Meanwhile, the Director of Open University Jember, Muhammad Imam Farisi attended the event as the speaker, giving materials and knowledge to the teachers.
