Sosialisasikan Pencegahan Bencana Bagi Kaum Perempuan

KANIGARAN – Untuk mengantisipasi terjadinya bencana, Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kota Probolinggo menggelar sosialisasi pentingnya pencegahan bencana khususnya untuk kaum  perempuan. Sosialisasi dibuka oleh Wawali Muhammad Soufis Subri, di Puri Manggala Bhakti, Selasa (2/4).

Kepala Pelaksana BPBD Prijo Djatmiko menyampaikan, tujuan sosialisasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan kewaspadaan  masyarakat serta kesiapsiagaan pemangku kepentingan dalam menghadapi resiko bencana.

“Peserta sosialisasi diharapkan dapat memberikan pembelajaran dasar terhadap tanggap darurat bencana dalam bentuk simulasi. Dapat memberikan informasi kepada para anggota Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) di lingkungan Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) maupun masyarakat sekitar lingkungannya,” katanya.

Sosialisasi ini mengusung tema Wanita Menjadi Guru Siaga Bencana, Rumah Menjadi Sekolahnya. Peserta sosialisasi diikuti kurang lebih 120 peserta, yang terdiri dari kepala OPD, pengurus dan anggota  DWP, pengurus Tim Penggerak PKK serta menghadirkan narasumber dari BPBD Provinsi Jawa Timur.

Wawali Subri menjelaskan, peristiwa bencana yang terjadi diberbagai daerah tentunya benar-benar menuntut perhatian dan koordinasi terpadu dari ketiga komponen. Yakni pemerintah, badan usaha dan masyarakat untuk kesiapsiagaan ketangguhan dalam bingkai kebersamaan dalam menghadapi bencana.

“Melalui sosialisasi ini diharapkan narasumber dapat memberikan pembelajaran terkini di bidang pencegahan dan penanggulangan bencana, yang disertai dengan praktek simulasi dasar tanggap darurat pada saat terjadi gempa,” ucap Subri.

Sedangkan Ketua DWP Kota Probolinggo, Tri Wahyuni Bambang Agus mengatakan perempuan memiliki peran strategis dalam menghadapi bencana, agar resiko yang ditimbulkan akibat bencana dapat ditekan melalui upaya meningkatkan peran perempuan dalam mitigasi bencana.

“Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan perempuan dalam menangani resiko bencana, perlu dilakukan peningkatan kesadaran perempuan dalam memahami situasi lingkungan dan ancaman, serta meningkatkan kemampuan untuk menilai resiko yang dihadapi perempuan sebagai individu, anggota keluarga dan masyarakat,” ujar Tri Wahyuni. In order to anticipate the occurrence of a disaster, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Probolinggo City held dissemination on the importance of disaster prevention, especially for women. The dissemination was opened by Vice Mayor Muhammad Soufis Subri, at Puri Manggala Bhakti, Tuesday (2/4).

BPBD Chief Executive Prijo Djatmiko conveyed, the purpose of the dissemination was to increase public awareness and alertness as well as stakeholder preparedness in dealing with disaster risks.

“The participants are expected to be able to provide basic learning on disaster emergency response in the form of simulations. To be able providing information to members of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) within the Regional Working Units (OPD) as well as the community surrounding the environment,” he said.

It has the theme “Women Become Teachers of Disaster Alert, Homes Become Schools”. The dissemination was attended by approximately 120 participants, consisting of heads of OPDs, administrators, and members of the DWP, administrators of the PKK Driving Team and presenting speakers from the BPBD of East Java Province.

Vice Mayor Subri explained, the catastrophic events that occurred in various regions certainly demanded the integrated attention and coordination of the three components including the government, business entities and the community for resilience preparedness in the framework of togetherness in the face of disasters.

“Through this event, it is expected that the speaker can provide the latest learning in the field of prevention and disaster management, which is completed with the practice of basic emergency response simulation in the event of an earthquake,” Subri said.

The Chairman of the Probolinggo City DWP, Tri Wahyuni Bambang Agus said women have a strategic role in dealing with disasters so that the risks posed by disasters can be reduced through efforts to increase women’s role in disaster mitigation.

“To improve women’s ability to handle disaster risk, it is necessary to increase awareness of women in understanding the environmental situation and threats, as well as increasing the ability to assess the risks faced by women as individuals, family members, and communities,” Tri Wahyuni said.
