Antisipasi Segala Situasi

(famydecta/humas)

A total of 167,834 residents registered on the Permanent Voter List (DPT) 2019 Election in Probolinggo city were able to have their right to vote on Wednesday (17/4). Starting at 07.00, residents can come to the polling stations (TPS) in their respective neighborhoods.

Supporting logistics at 606 polling stations have also been distributed on Tuesday (16/4) to 29 sub-districts in 5 districts of the city. Logistics other than ballot boxes are ballots, forms c1 with holograms and copies, plano, cover copies and other forms. Each polling station has 5 ballot boxes and 4 voting booths.

The release of logistics from the Probolinggo City General Election Commission (KPU) warehouse on Jalan Anggrek was accompanied by prayers from officials in the city including Mayor Hadi Zainal Abidin; Poice Chief AKBP Alfian Nurrizal; Dandim 0820 Lieutenant Colonel Inf Imam Wibowo; and election organizer KPU Chair Ahmad Hudri along with Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) Chairman Azam Fikri.

The implementation of the 2019 election in Probolinggo City received attention from the East Java Provincial Police, by assigning the former Probolinggo City Police Chief who is now the Director of the East Java Police Department Commissioner Pol Iwan Setyawan.

“Delivery of logistics arrived quickly and precisely to the sub-district until it was distributed to polling stations. What needs to be anticipated is the weather, I hope everyone has anticipated that so that the implementation can be smooth, safe without any slightest interference,” explained Habib Hadi – the mayor’s familiar greeting.

Habib Hadi invited the public to be able to maintain together so that the atmosphere was conducive. He asks the people to not to be divided. TNI and Polri have been there to guarantee security, but religious leaders and community leaders have a role to play in protecting their environment.

The mayor also appealed to the public to take advantage of historic moments for the Indonesian people. According to Habib Hadi, this is the time to determine the fate of the nation. “This is a party of democracy that we must follow with togetherness, kinship. Determine the choice according to our beliefs, not to be divided by hoax information. Do not be abstain because it is very unfortunate,” he said.

Anticipate all situations

The atmosphere is conducive; the election runs safely and smoothly becomes the expectation of all parties. The city’s Police Chief AKBP Alfian Nurrizal provided certainty that the logistics distribution security will go according to plan.

“For security, carry out tasks with integrity in carrying out their duties. We need also to anticipate rain so that the election runs orderly, safe and successful,” said the police officer.

Meanwhile, Commander of Military District (Dandim) 0820 Lt. Col. Inf Imam Wibowo also asserted that the TNI is ready to help secure the elections, especially the 2019 legislative and presidential elections. “Everything is safe, let’s realize a legislative election and a presidential election that is conducive and safe for the Indonesian people,” he said.

The question of anticipating rain, KPU Chair Ahmad Hudri admitted that he had anticipated it in advance. Even before the rain, all the ballot boxes are wrapped in plastic.

“The seven fleets that we deploy are also closed boxes. Plastics have also been installed so that they can get to at the PPS (polling organizer) in the sub-district safely. By the dawn (17/4), they can be distributed to each polling station,” Hudri said.

Habib Hadi added that so far the potential for friction was at the time of the voting at 1:00 p.m. Current rules, polling stations are closed at 1:00 p.m. However, a queue before the last hour must be completed. What is not permitted is registration at 1:00 p.m.

“This can be friction. The city once had a bad history when there was chaos during the election. But when the election is all conducive, it means that the people of the city are more mature,” he explained.

After giving tomorrow’s voting rights, Habib Hadi and the Probolinggo municipal election desk will monitor the implementation of the elections in the sub-districts, hoping all to run smoothly.
