Semarakkan Lomba Cipta Menu Ikan Kembung, Ini Menu ala Istri Wali Kota-Wawali

KANIGARAN – Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo tidak pernah lelah untuk menggerakkan masyarakatnya untuk mengonsumsi ikan. Ikan memang memiliki sumber protein yang tinggi dan baik untuk perkembangan otak. Senin (29/4) pagi, Dinas Perikanan yang bekerja bareng dengan Tim Penggerak PKK Kota Probolinggo mengelar lomba cipta menu ikan kembung.

Di Kota Probolinggo, ikan kembung lebih familiar dengan nama ikan medai. Hasil kreasinya pun bermacam. Ada yang memasak olahan ikan kembung jadi menu gulai ikan, manggut ikan, sate lilit ikan, geprek ikan dan lain sebagainya.

Bertempat di Taman Maramis, Ketua TP PKK Aminah Hadi Zainal Abidin dan Wakil Ketua TP PKK Diah Kristanti Subri juga unjuk kebolehan. Bahannya tidak disediakan oleh panitia, melainkan harus berbelanja di pedagang yang telah disediakan di area Taman Maramis.

Istri wali kota memasak ikan kembung geprek sambel mattah. Sedangkan istri wawali bikin rolade ikan kembung. Aminah sang ketua TP PKK mengaku, memasak di acara Gemar Memasyarakatkan Makan Ikan punya tantangan tersendiri.

“Kalau di rumah masaknya pakai daster, kalau disini pakai kostum lengkap. Jadi, saya mengaplikasikan apa yang biasa saya masak di rumah. Bapak (wali kota) dan anak-anak memang suka makan ikan,” tuturnya.

Selain lomba memasak, Dinas Perikanan juga menggelar demo masak ikan kembung dan sosialisasi gemar makan ikan yang diikuti oleh ibu-ibu PKK se-Kota Probolinggo. Dan, ada gelar produk olahan ikan.

Pada kesempatan itu, Wali Kota Hadi Zainal Abidin menyampaikan agar ibu-ibu tidak memberi anak-anaknya dengan aneka produk instan. “Beri ikan segar, biar tumbuh kembang anak jadi baik. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, ada demo masak ikan kembung, bisa mengedukasi para ibu dan mengasah skill untuk mengolah ikan jadi menu yang tidak membosankan di rumah,” ujar Habib Hadi.

Keterlibatan Asosiasi Chef Probolinggo diharapkan bisa menambah wawasan kaum ibu tentang cara mengolah makanan. Didampingi Wawali Mochammad Soufis Subri dan sejumlah pejabat, Wali Kota Habib Hadi meninjau stan gelar produk perikanan dan proses memasak para peserta.

“Dengan kegiatan ini, saya berharap semua tingkat konsumsi ikan masyarakat semakin meningkat. Dan, setelah saya melihat olahan ikan yang dibuat UMKM sangat variatif dan banyak kandungan gizinya,” imbuh Habib Hadi. (famydecta/humas)

Probolinggo Municipality always makes the best efforts in moving its people to consume fish. It has a high source of protein and is good for brain development. Monday (29/4) morning, the Fisheries Agency working together with the Probolinggo City PKK (women organization) Team organized a competition for the menu of mackerel.

In the city, mackerel is more familiar to be called as Medai fish. There were various creations with this kind of fish. Some processed mackerel into a menu of fish curry, satay, and others.

Located Maramis Park, Chairman of the PKK Aminah Hadi Zainal Abidin and Deputy Chairperson of the PKK Diah Kristanti Subri were also demonstrating their skills. The ingredients are not provided by the committee, but the participants must shop at the merchant provided at the Maramis Park area.

The mayor’s wife cooks the mackerel with green hot sauce. Meanwhile, the wife of vice mayor has roulade mackerel. Aminah, the chairperson of the PKK, admitted that cooking at this event had its own challenges.

“If you cook at home, we only wear a duster, but here, we have to wear full coking outfit. So, I applied what I used to cook at home. My husband and the kids really like to eat fish,” she said.

In addition to cooking competitions, the Fisheries Agency also held cooking demonstrations of puffed fish and promotion to eat more fish, which was followed by PKK members throughout the city. And, there is a display of processed fish products.

On that occasion, Mayor Hadi Zainal Abidin said that mothers should not give their children various instant products. “Give them fresh fish, so that the child’s growth will be good. With this activity, there is a cooking demonstration of mackerel that can educate mothers and to improve their skills to process fish so the menu is not boring at home,” said Habib Hadi.

The involvement of the Probolinggo Chef Association is expected to increase mothers’ insight on how to process food. Accompanied by Vice Mayor Mochammad Soufis Subri and a number of officials, Mayor Habib Hadi reviewed the booth of fishery products and the cooking process of the participants.

“With this activity, I hope that all communities to increase their level of fish consumption. And, I can see that the processed fish made by SMEs varied and had a lot of nutritional content, “added Habib Hadi.
