“Bagus bahkan.

(famydecta/humas)

The head for the License and Immigration Information division of East Java Regional Office of the Legal Affairs and Human Rights Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia, Taty Sufiyani along with the head of Malang Immigration Office Novianto Sulastono visited Probolinggo city Public Service Mall (MPP) on Friday (30/8).

Their visit to the city was to observe the plan to establish a new immigration office in Probolinggo city, responding to the meeting with Mayor Hadi Zainal Abidin and Minister Yassona Hamonangan Laoly at one of the famous restaurants in Tongas on March 26th.

In the meeting, Yassona is ready to provide immigration services at the city’s Public Service Mall (MPP). “We fully support the mayor’s intention. We will prepare for administrative affairs. In Jakarta or North Sulawesi, the immigration service is available at the mall,” Minister Yassona said.

The minister will also promote the city in giving services at the mall. Since the city is quite far from Malang, the immigration service should be provided here. “By having public service mall with immigration services available, it can serve people who need the facility. Moreover, the city is close to tourist destinations,” said the minister who was about to give a lecture in one of the private universities in Probolinggo.

“We are here to observe the establishment of immigration service in the city especially dealing with making a passport. Let us pray for the best result,” said the head for the License and Immigration Information division of East Java Regional Office of the Legal Affairs and Human Rights Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia, Taty Sufiyani.

The head of Malang Immigration Office, Novianto Sulastono, after observing the site planned to be the place for immigration service, added that the location is quite representative. “It’s very good, though. We will have a further study before making a report to the Directorate General of Immigration,” said the man with glasses.

Novianto explained the service would be available based on the spirit to serve the people. “Because with an approach to the people, they will be served better. We will have synergy with the city administration. They will provide the facilities, and we will prepare the system,” he said.

Passport service in the immigration office is for all Indonesian people. It’s for the people who already have e-KTP. “Our spirit is to serve. Then, it will be the authority of the regional office and the directorate general,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mayor Hadi Zainal Abidin who accompanied the team explained that the city has proposed for having immigration service in the city to ease the people’s access to the service.

“It will all available at the mall because it’s the government’s responsibility to fulfill the rights of the people. If the ministry decides to have their own office, we will give them one,” Habib Hadi said.

The mayor hopes the positive response from the minister while having a meeting earlier, would be a good signal for the city. “God willing all have agreed. Now, we are doing data processing and we will have the service in the city,” he said.
