Gebyar Panen Pedet Tuai Apresiasi

MAYANGAN – Demi memberikan penghargaan kepada peternak sapi yang telah berkontribusi dalam peningkatan populasi dan produksi ternak sapi, Dinas Pertanian dan Ketahanan Pangan Kota Probolinggo menggelar Gebyar Panen Panen Hasil UPSUS SIWAB, Jumat (27/4), di lapangan Wonoasih. Ajang ini juga menjadi wadah promosi bagi para peternak untuk menunjukkan hasil budidaya sapi.

Diikuti kurang lebih 100 peserta, gebyar panen pedet berlangsung selama 2 hari dimulai sejak Kamis (26/4) dan berakhir pagi tadi. Hadir dalam penutupan acara Staf Ahli bidang Kemasyarakatan dan SDM, Didik Sunaryoto, Kapolsek Wonoasih, Danramil Wonoasih, serta Kabid Kesehatan Hewan pada Dinas Peternakan Provinsi Jawa Timur, Yuli Poliswari. 

Yuli Poliswari yang hadir mewakili Kepala Dinas Peternakan Provinsi Jawa Timur memberikan apresiasi terhadap upaya yang telah dilakukan Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo dalam meningkatkan populasi dan produksi ternak sapi melalui program Upaya Khusus Sapi Indukan Wajib Bunting (UPSUS SIWAB). 

Menurutnya, Kota Probolinggo telah sukses melampaui target 2.000 ekor sapi melalui proses kawin suntik pada tahun 2017 lalu. “Tahun lalu Kota Probolinggo sukses melakukan proses kawin suntik pada 2.507 ekor sapi. Jumlah ini melampaui target yang diberikan sebnayak 2.000 ekor sapi. Dari hasil proses kawin suntik tersebut, telah lahir 1.231 ekor pedet,” terang Yuli.

“Tahun ini Kota Probolinggo memiliki target baru, yakni 2.100 ekor sapi. Sedangkan hasil kawin suntik hingga bulan April lalu adalah sebanyak 722 ekor,” lanjutnya.

Sementara itu, apresiasi juga diberikan oleh Staf Ahli Bidang Kemasyarakatan dan SDM, Didik Sunaryoto. Menurutnya, kegiatan serupa harus digelar secara rutin setiap tahun sehingga potensi produksi ternak sapi di Kota Probolinggo semakin meningkat. 

“Saya berharap kegiatan ini dapat digelar secara rutin sehingga para peternak sapi bisa lebih termotivasi lagi untuk meningkatkan produksi ternak sapi,” tutur Didik yang mewakili Wali Kota Probolinggo, Rukmini.

Gebyar panen yang digelar untuk memberikan penghargaan kepada para peternak dibagi dalam beberapa kategori, antara lain induk sapi PO, pedet sapi PO, induk sapi hasil persilangan, dan kategori pedet hasil persilangan. Total hadiah sebesar Rp 20 juta disiapkan panitia untuk para pemenang. _alfien/humas

 

MAYANGAN – In order to give awards to cattle farmers who have contributed to increasing population and cattle production, the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of Probolinggo City held the Harvest Festival of UPSUS SIWAB, Friday (27/4), in the Wonoasih field. This event is also a forum for promotion for farmers to show the results of cattle farming.

Followed by approximately 100 participants, the festival was held in 2 days starting on Thursday (26/4) and ended this morning. The closing of the event were  attended by Expert Staff of Community and Human Resources, Didik Sunaryoto, Wonoasih Police Chief, Danramil Wonoasih, and Head of Animal Health at the Livestock Service Office of East Java Province, Yuli Poliswari.

Yuli Poliswari, who attended representing the Head of the Livestock Service Office of East Java Province, expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by Probolinggo Municipality in raising cattle population and production through the SIWAB, a special cattle-breeding program.

According to her, Probolinggo city has successfully surpassed the target of 2,000 cows through the process of injecting mating in 2017. “Last year the city successfully carried out the injection process to 2,507 cows. This number exceeds the target given to 2,000 cows. From the results of the injection mating process, 1,231 calves have been born,” Yuli explained.

“This year Probolinggo city has a new target, which is 2,100 cows. While the results of injection mating until last April were 722,” she continued.

Meanwhile, appreciation was also given by Community and HR Expert Staff, Didik Sunaryoto. According to him, similar activities must be held annually so that the potential for cattle production in Probolinggo city could be increasing.

“I hope this activity can be held routinely so that cattle farmers can be more motivated to increase cattle production,” said Didik, who represented Probolinggo Mayor, Rukmini.

Harvest Festival held to give awards to farmers are divided into several categories, including PO cows, PO calves, crossbred cows, and cross-bred calf categories. The total prize of IDR 20 million was prepared by the committee for the winners.
