Wali Kota Sampaikan Remisi Untuk 261 Warga Binaan

MAYANGAN – Hari peringatan HUT Kemerdekaan RI adalah hari yang sangat istimewa bagi warga binaan Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (LP) di Indonesia tak terkecuali warga binaan LP Klas IIB Probolinggo. Ini karena disetiap HUT Kemerdekaan RI ada salah satu agenda yang paling ditunggu oleh warga Penitentiary yaitu pemberian remisi  atau pengurangan masa hukuman di setiap LP.

Pemberian remisi ini disampaikan langsung oleh Wali Kota Proboinggo Rukmini. Wali Kota didamping oleh Sekda Kota Probolinggo Bambang Agus dan Kepala Penitentiary Klas IIB Yandi Suyandi beserta Kepala OPD dan Anggota DPRD. Pemberian remisi  dilakukan di Aula Penitentiary Kelas IIB Probolinggo. Jum’at (17/8). 

Yandi Suyandi melaporkan, jumlah warga binaan yang menghuni Kas IIB Probolinggo mencapai 562 orang. Dari jumlah tersebut yang mendapatkan remisi sebanyak 261 orang dengan rincian, remisi 1 bulan sebanyak 87 orang, 2 bulan sebanyak 71 orang, 3 bulan sebanyak 80 orang, 4 bulan sebanyak 9 orang, 5 dan 6 bulan sebanyak 1 orang dan langsung bebas sebanyak 12 orang.

Yandi juga mengatakan bahwa di LP Klas IIB sudah dibangun Pondok Pesantren khusus bagi warga binaan. “ Alhamduliilah kita sudah membangun pondok pesantren  yang dikasih nama Ponpes Daru Awwabin yang bekerjasama dengan Madrasah Al-Falah untuk mengajak para warga binaan belajar agama dan melakukan kegiatan-kegiatan yang positif,” ucap Yandi.

Wali Kota Probolinggo, Rukmini menjelaskan gelora semangat untuk mengisi kemerdekaan tentunya harus menjadi milik segenap lapisan masyarakat, tak terkecuali bagi warga binaan pemasyarakatan. Meskipun secara hukum mereka dirampas kemerdekaanya, namun itu hanyalah kemerdekaan fisik semata  tapi mereka tetap memiiki kemerdekaan untuk terus berkarya.

Rukmini juga mengatakan pemberian remisi sebagai wujud apresiasi pencapaian perbaikan diri yang tercermin dari sikap dan perilaku sehari-hari. Perbaikan tercermin dari sikap warga binaan yang taat selama menjalani pidana, lebih disiplin, lebih produktif dan dinamis.Tolak ukur pemberian remisi tidak didasarkan pada latar belakang pelanggaran hukumnya, akan tetapi didasarkan pada perilaku mereka selama menjalani pidana.

Rumini mengajak seluruh narapidana untuk berbuat baik kedepannya. “Saya mengajak seluruh narapidana yang pada hari ini mendapatkan remisi untuk kembali ke jalan yang lurus. Semoga dengan pemberian remisi ini akan memberikan kesempatan kepada saudara-saudara untuk selalu berbuat baik ke depannya,” ucap Rukmini. (soni/humas)

 

MAYANGAN – The anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia was a very special day for prisoners in Indonesia, including those in Probolinggo Class II Penitentiary. This is because in every independence anniversary, one of the most awaited agenda for prisoners is the granting of remissions or reducing the sentence in each penitentiary.

Provision of remission was delivered directly by the Mayor of Proboinggo Rukmini. The mayor was accompanied by the Secretary of Probolinggo City Bambang Agus and the Head of Class IIB Penitentiary Yandi Suyandi along with the Head of the working unit and council members. Provision of remission was carried out at the Probolinggo Class IIB Penitentiary Hall, Friday (8/17).

Yandi Suyandi reported that the number of inmates inhabiting in the penitentiary reached 562 people. Of these number, 261 people received remissions with details, 1 month remission as many as 87 people, 2 months as many as 71 people, 3 months as many as 80 people, 4 months as many as 9 people, 5 and 6 months as many as 1 person and immediately free as many as 12 people .

Yandi also said that in the Class IIB Penitentiary, a special Islamic boarding school had been built for the prisoners. “Thank God, we have built Islamic boarding schools called Daru Awwabin Islamic Boarding School in collaboration with Al-Falah Madrasah to invite the prisoners to study religion and carry out positive activities,” Yandi said.

The Mayor of Probolinggo, Rukmini, explained the surge in enthusiasm to fill independence, of course, must belong to all levels of society, including prisoners. Even though they are legally deprived of their independence, it is merely physical independence, but they still have the freedom to continue working.

Rukmini also said that giving remission as a form of appreciation for the achievement of self-improvement reflected in daily attitudes and behavior. Improvement is reflected in the attitude of the prisoners who are obedient while serving the criminal, more disciplined, more productive and dynamic. The measure of giving remissions is not based on the background of violating the law, but is based on their behavior while serving the jail-sentence.

Rumini invites all prisoners to do good things in the future. “I invite all prisoners who today get a remission to return to the right path. Hopefully the provision of remissions will provide opportunities for you to always do good in the future,” said Rukmini.
